Showmen excel at Central Wyoming Fair

by Wyoming Livestock Roundup

The Central Wyoming Fair kicked off Wyoming’s county fair run in Casper this week under big top tents set up in the rodeo arena.

Brother and sister Brady and Payton Dona had a successful run at the CWF. Both siblings showed hogs, steers and sheep this week in Casper.

Brady, 12, was the Grand Champion Intermediate Sheep Showman, along with earning the coveted title Overall Grand Champion Market Lamb. Brady was also successful in the hog show with the Champion Division 2 gilt and in the market beef show with his winning steer third place in the division.

Payton, 10, was the Grand Champion Junior Sheep and Beef Showman as well as the Reserve Champion Junior Swine Showman. In the market lamb show, she had two class winners and a third place. Her steer was the Division 3 Reserve Champion.

Brady and Payton, and their parents Jim and Erin Dona, raise sheep outside of Glenrock. Both siblings say their favorite part of showing is getting to spend time with their animals and working with them to tame them.
