2018 Wyoming Agriculture Hall of Fame

by Wyoming Livestock Roundup

Each spring, the Wyoming Livestock Roundupturns to its readers in search of the next two inductees for the Wyoming Agriculture Hall of Fame.

Started in 1992, the Ag Hall of Fame recognizes two individuals or couples each year who have made an impact in Wyoming’s agriculture industry. From civic engagement and leadership activities to innovative practices and advocacy, inductees are men and women who strongly represent the industry

“There is always somebody along a country road that deserves this recognition,” says Dennis Sun, Wyoming Livestock Roundup publisher. “It’s a good time for neighbors and business associates to put in an application and give these people the recognition they deserve.”

Nominations for induction into the Wyoming Ag Hall of Fame are available at wylr.net or by contacting the Roundup at 307-234-2700 or roundup@wylr.net. The nomination form asks for a list of the nominee’s civic and agriculture achievements, volunteer activities and recognitions.

After the nomination deadline, a panel of three independent judges review and rank applications to select the winners. Hall of Fame inductees will be honored at the Wyoming Ag Hall of Fame picnic, held in conjunction with the Wyoming State Fair, scheduled for Aug. 15 in Douglas.

Nominations are due by June 11. Mail completed nomination forms to Wyoming Livestock Roundup, PO Box 850, Casper, WY 82602 or e-mail forms to roundup@wylr.net. Feel free to include any supplemental information, including letters of support, with the nomination forms. Nominations remain eligible for three years.
