Ag Hall of Fame accepting applications
Casper – As summer draws closer, the Wyoming Livestock Roundup is preparing to select the 2014 Wyoming Agriculture Hall of Fame inductees. We need your help to identify those Wyoming farmers, rancher, agri-business people and ag industry supporters who have contributed to the agriculture industry in our state.
“The Wyoming Ag Hall of Fame award was first started in 1992 to recognize the leadership in the ag community,” says Wyoming Livestock Roundup Publisher Dennis Sun. “The need is there to recognize people who have been leaders, given themselves, their time and countless resources to help the ag community in the state”
Last year’s inductees were Dick Loper of Lander and Jw and Thea Nuckolls of Sundance.
To nominate someone for the Wyoming Agriculture Hall of Fame, click here to fill out the online survey or download a PDF version of the application. An application can be also be obtained by emailing roundup@wylr.net.
Nominations must be submitted by June 20. Submissions can be emailed to roundup@wylr.net, send electronically at wylr.net or mailed to PO Box 850, Casper, WY 82602.
After all nominations are received, a panel of three judges independently rank nominees and select the year’s inductees. A belt buckle and poster are presented to the winners at the 2014 Roundup picnic, held on Wednesday during the Wyoming State Fair each year.
