Thaler recognized for 30 years

by Wyoming Livestock Roundup

This year, Wyoming Association of Conservation Districts President Shaun Sims recognized Dennis Thaler with the 2012 Presidential Award.

“The individual I chose to recognize this year has dedicated more than 30 years to Conservation Districts and the Association,” said Sims at the awards luncheon during the Wyoming Natural Resources Rendezvous. “He has exemplified conservation at its finest on his own operation, as a district supervisor as well as a state leader in the conservation family.”

In his more than 30 years of service to conservation districts in Wyoming, as well as the Wyoming Association of Conservation Districts, Thaler has developed tree planting programs and hosted events on his property. He has worked in adopting conservation strategies, earning Thaler and his family the Environmental Stewardship Award in 2005 in the state, region and nationally.

“Dennis and his family exemplify conservation and stewardship of the land,” commented Sims. “I would like to thank Dennis for his commitment and passion to the conservation districts and our mission for the past 30 years.”
