Christy Martinez, Managing Editor
After graduating from Iowa State University in 2006 with a degree in journalism and mass communication,
with an emphasis in agriculture, I moved to Wyoming to work with the Roundup as assistant editor, a position I held for three years before taking on the responsibilities of managing editor at the paper.I grew up on a farm in Iowa, where I worked with my family to raise corn, soybeans, alfalfa, hogs and cattle.
After over five years working at the Roundup, it’s an understatement to say I’ve “learned a lot.” The part I enjoy most is getting to visit with all the great people of Wyoming, whether I travel to their ranches for an interview and photos, meet them at the many meetings and events we attend as the Roundup staff or those with whom I speak only by telephone or email.
We’re always on the hunt for news from around the state, and I know that we sometimes miss things from the far corners, simply because we don’t hear of them. Feel free to give me a call or email and let us know what’s going on in your area that’s important to the ranching and farming community.
Saige Albert, EditorSaige graduated from the University of Wyoming in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology. Her interest in agriculture and communications led her to a position as assistant editor of the Roundup following graduation. She also works to maintain and continue developing the Roundup website.
Saige grew up in Powell and was active in both 4-H and FFA, raising market hogs each year to show at county fair. Saige also worked as a diesel mechanic in Powell and with the Park County 4-H program prior to joining the Roundup team.
"I really love my job at the Roundup," says Saige. "I get to meet amazing people everyday and spend time working to help people understand the most important industry in the world."
